Caviar is perishable, so it cannot be returned or exchanged once shipped. If anything arrives damaged or warm, email info@bashtiancaviar.com within 24 hours and we will replace it.
Caviar must be refrigerated immediately on arrival. Choose a delivery date when someone can receive it, and do not leave the shipment unattended.

How much should I buy?
One ounce is a generous tasting for one person, or a taste for two. Two ounces suits a dinner for four as a first course. Above 125g you are catering rather than tasting — each size in the selector says who it feeds.
What if nobody is home when it arrives?
Every order ships FedEx Priority Overnight in an insulated cooler with gel packs, packed cold the morning it leaves us. It holds temperature for roughly 24 hours after delivery, so a few hours on a doorstep is not a problem. We ship Monday through Thursday only, so nothing sits in a depot over a weekend.
How do I open the tin, and what do I serve it with?
A tin key or the back of a spoon turns the lid; no knife needed. Use mother-of-pearl, glass, horn or bone — metal turns the flavour. Serve the tin on ice, and once it is open, finish it within three days.
How long does it keep?
Unopened and refrigerated at 28–32°F, best enjoyed within four weeks of the packing date printed on the tin. Once opened, three days. Never freeze it: freezing ruptures the pearls and the texture does not come back.
Is it legal and sustainable?
Yes. Every tin is farmed roe from a single supplier under CITES permit, the international convention governing sturgeon trade. Nothing we sell is wild-caught, and every shipment is documented.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Pick the delivery date in your bag before checkout and it arrives cold to their door on the day you choose. The Flight is the usual gift when you do not know which roe they prefer.
